About Connected

Connecting with God and connecting with each other fuels us with passion, purpose and promise. In the most crucial times of Jesus’ ministry, each time, we see him retreating to spend time alone with the father. The idea and practice of retreating in order to advance. At the start of a new youth work calendar, prioritising time away to focus on our own relationship and connection with God is vital. We seek connection before direction. We want the out-workings of our youth ministry to be shaped by the in-workings of His ministry.

What is connected about?

Connected is a 3 day retreat where we focus on getting connected back to our first love and also spend time connected with others who are involved in youth ministry. We recognise that we can easily get isolated in our own youth work and ministry. We want to prioritise times where we can get away together and learn from each other and celebrate what God is doing across the land with youth work. We want Connected to be a time and space where youth work can feel more tied and interwoven together. We believe this happens best when relationships are deepened by spending quality time with God and quality time with each other in prayer and worship.

What to expect

Quality time and space to meet with and hear from God. Time to reflect and relax. Great food. Great Hotel. Individual Prayer appointments. Inspirational input. Worship. Deepening of friendships. Discernment of the times we live in. Bigger picture of what God is doing in Ireland. Fun and joy of being together.

Eoghan Heaslip

Eoghan is married to Becky and together they have three grown-up daughters. Eoghan came to faith in his late teens and has been a part of Saint Catherine’s Church ever since, first as a member, then as part of the staff team, and now as the lead pastor. He is the most passionate about making faith personal & putting it into practice.
